I was 16, and going on my first "real" date. My new boyfriend had invited me over to his house so that I could meet his mom and for him to cook me dinner. He had set up everything so perfect and fixed a great meal. All of a sudden he stopped eating and started staring at me. He asked me why my face was turning red. I hopped out of my chair to run to the bathroom to see what was happening to me. I got up so fast that I knocked my plate and cup to the floor and they both shattered.

I was horrified! Once I got to the bathroom I saw that I had these red blotches all over my face and neck. It was disgusting. Then I started crying and my make up began smearing down my face. Then I heard his mother yelling about the dishes that I had broken. I left as soon as I thought the coast was clear. Turns out that I had an allergic reaction to all the cats in the house. I was forgiven for the broken dishes, the mess, and the scene I caused. The one thing I wasn’t forgiven for was backing into his mom’s new car as I was leaving.
